Balancing Work-Family Roles: The Experiences of Solo Parent School Administrators

The rising educational attainment for women and economic uncertainty gave rise to high maternal employment rates the global labour force participation of women. Often working mothers, are put into complexities work family life, resulting in stress perplexity values priority. phenomenological paper intends explore day-to-day life experiences balance work-home school administrators involved solo-parenting Diocesan Schools Negros Occidental, Philippines. data were collected using an in-depth interview from four chosen through purposive sampling. Thematic analysis following Lichtman's three Cs: coding, categorizing, conceptualizing was used analyse data. findings show that playing role administrator being a solo parent at same time is both challenging rewarding task. School employed various coping mechanisms such as seeking external help involving productive activities manage daily stressors. In absence their spouse, management essential, spending quality with children always may provide baseline designing implementing programs ensure work-family roles.
